Xbox Community Manager for Europe, Graeme Boyd, has just announced via Twitter that Gears of War 3 will be released around the world on 20 September, 2011.
Gears of War 3 is being developed by series creator Epic Games, and published by Microsoft Games Studios exclusively for the Xbox 360. It was originally supposed to be released in April, but was pushed back to “Fall 2011.”
The game will boast four player co-op, and introduce three new playable female characters: Samantha Byrne, Anya Stroud, and Bernadette Mataki. It will also give players a variety of new weapons to wreak havoc with, including a double-barrelled shotgun, Incendiary Grenades, a new heavy weapon which fires explosive diggers called the Digger Launcher and loads more.
