Universal is making a movie based on the Gears of War video game franchise, reports GameRant.
The project was announced during the Gears of War 4 livestream, which focussed on the upcoming Xbox One exclusive.
Not much is currently known about the movie, but it has been revealed that Scott Stuber and Dylan Clark will be producing the film.
Stuber and Clark have previously worked on Ted and Planet of the Apes respectively.
This follows a renewed interest in video game-based movies, with films such as Assassin’s Creed also in the works.
Hopefully these new films will put an end to the historical trend of terrible movies based on video games.
