Following several days of yes, no, maybe, and an official confirmation that developer CD Projekt would be announcing something Witcher-related for console at E3 in June, it turns out the Entertainment Software Ratings Board has prematurely let the cat out of the bag on a Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings launch for Xbox 360.
The ESRB’s certification page for the game now lists it as both a PC and Xbox release.
Yesterday, CD Projekt’s Tomasz Gop told Eurogamer that, regarding the company’s E3 announcement, “I can’t say anything obviously for gazillions of reasons but it is a Witcher game, and I can say that console gamers might be interested in it”.
Where there’s smoke, there’s probably an albino leather-boy monster-hunter for hire, as the old folk aphorism goes.
The Witcher 2 launched on PC last week, and has been met with overwhelmingly positive reviews, currently averaging around 90 on Metacritic.
