The Witcher 2 for Xbox 360 comes on two discs

26 September 2011

CD Projekt Red has confirmed that the upcoming Witcher 2 Xbox version will ship out on not one, not one and a half, but two whole discs. It’s more bang for your buck, or something.

The news comes out of the past weekend’s Eurogamer Expo, where CD Projekt Red’s Jan Krzysztof Bielecki made the official announcement.

“It’s going to be more than one [disc],” he said. “And it cannot be three, so… yeah, it’s going to be two discs.”

The console launch doesn’t have a date just yet, but it’s expected sometime around the start of next year.

In the meantime, though, those of you already playing the game on PC can look forward to the version 2.0 mega-update, due out on Thursday, which adds a bunch of new features to the game, including a new Arena Mode, and the “ultimate challenge” super-hard Dark Mode.

Because if there’s one thing The Witcher 2 has to be, it’s more difficult.
