FNB to offer Xbox One

FNB will sell Microsoft’s Xbox One when it arrives in South Africa on 23 September 2014.

The bank made the announcement in its latest deal book, which did not list pricing or payment plans.

FNB could only confirm it would be selling the Xbox One, with pricing not available.

FNB already sells Xbox 360 bundles, which range from R199 to R249 per month over 24 months, and the Xbox One’s main competitor – the PlayStation 4 – for R380 per month over 24 months.

The PS4 bundle includes 2 controllers, two games, and a 90-day PS Plus membership.

The Xbox One is currently priced at R6,299 for the standard 500GB console without Kinect and a single controller, and R7,999 for the Kinect bundle at most retailers taking pre-orders.
