Batman: Return to Arkham coming later this year

19 May 2016

Last month details slipped-out about Return to Arkham, a remastered collection of the award-winning titles, Batman: Arkham Asylum and Arkham City.

An official announcement has now followed to give some more details on the Dark Knight’s return to consoles and PC.

The two games will be upgraded using Unreal Engine 4, giving the game a cosmetic makeover with “improved graphics, as well as upgraded models, environments, lighting, effects and shaders”.

In addition to the visual makeover, Return to Arkham will also feature all the DLC and Game of the Year add-ons for both games.

What the collection won’t include, however, is Batman: Arkham Origins, which was made by Warner Brothers’ Montreal studio. The rest of the series was helmed by Rocksteady. Arkham Knight was the final entry into the series and was only available on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

The Batman: Return to Arkham collection will launch on Xbox One and PS4 on 24 July 2016. The game will be priced at R699 on both platforms.
