Microsoft tease new Xbox Avatars and introduce wheelchairs

5 July 2016

Microsoft’s Phil Spence and Mike Ybarra have tweeted the first photos of the new Xbox One Avatars and the news that for the first time real-life wheelchair users can reflect themselves digitally.

Despite their popularity on the Xbox 360, Avatars never made the jump to the Xbox One.

These “updated” Avatars are expected to make their debut on Xbox One and Windows 10 as part of Xbox’s massive Summer update expected some time in the coming months.
