At one point they really shut the crowd up.. it must suck knowing people are rooting for you to lose.. probably drove them to play better anyway

And if the crowd is cheering for you to lose, it can't be good for you; everyone is basically against you - then you prove them wrong.

How's it treating you so far? people are ridiculously accurate in that game

I'm actually finding it fine. Was quite a keen CS 1.6 player during my days when at varsity, and maybe its just nostalgia or something but it seemed quicker. Like here the snipers wait like .5 seconds before taking the shot (basically full view of enemy whos now stopped moving to snipe you). there they were sniping double doors on dust II and would nail you through the gap, not through the door.
So as a result I've found even though I regarded myself as shit at twitch shooting then, I'm a decent Awper on this level hehe. Not ranked yet though...
Just have to get used to the maps, the names of map locations and all the kiddies that are on ^_^

Still to this day CS GO is the most stable FPS game out there, with none of this yearly new release and countless "DLCs". I decided to play it again over the xmas break and it was just as awesome as when I played it a few months back. Seriously the CoD FailSeries could learn a thing or 2 from this game.
