Played the new Battlefield Hardline this morning... Seems just like any other Battlefield to me. Just a bit scaled down.
Don't know if it is just me though :wtf:
Haahaha sigh only saw it now thanks! Can I change the threads heading?
Made the thread quickly at work!
So you only played Single player and not Online Hagan?

Ran the game on the highest settings. Was averaging 90+ at 1080 so it seems to be optimised like BF4.
I'm not too impressed with the gameplay though. I love the maps and the fact that it's very infantry-centric. The price tag, however, is not justified and I won't be picking this up at launch.
How much is it going for?
And I saw that you get $ ingame to buy weapons. Do you have to use ingame purchases to use different guns? Or is it like Counterstrike ?
$59.99 for standard game and $69.99 for digital deluxe.
Hardline feels like a filler game until BF5 comes out next year. I'll buy it if it's R200 or less otherwise I'll stick to BF4.
Purchases works like this:
You get money in game for kills, flag captures etc. You then use that money to buy different guns, gadgets, attachments etc. You can buy any gun you want provided you have enough money. You don't need to buy guns in any certain order. You can also pick up a dead soldier's kit and use his weapons even if you don't have them unlocked. Buying a gun is also permanent and doesn't last for a round.
Everytime i read this title i hear har har har har in my head:wtf:

It's not far enough removed from BF4 and in other sense too different, lol.
I'll give it a fair shot again tonight, Load Shedding dependant, as my opinion is based on an angry me, after 1 round played following 3.5 hours in the dark.
I have nothing against the game for being a game, but, imho and the reason why I wont get in on launch, is that its not why I play BF. I play BF for the whole military type experience, from troop types to helicopters, to tanks, etc. Just the whole battlefield experience. I think Hardline will probably be a good game, but its not what I want in a BF game.
I'll wait for BF5 or have a look at Star Wars Battlefront, though, not too clued up on Star Wars Battlefront.
