Largely inconsequential. It's the copyright not the geolock that is the problem from a legal perspective as far as I can tell.
It's to be understood in the context of eg steam games costing more in Australia rather than bypassing laws like copyright as is the case with Netflix.
And yeah the whole thing is pretty stupid. Money for content...its not that difficult.
I also find it hard to understand, if Netflix costs $10 (for example i think its actually $8) Then it should cost R100.00 exchange rate depending... I don't see why its more expensive in a country like Australia? And im sure it will be even more expensive here...
