Hi All
So I have the ASUS Sonar DG sound card:
It has been working perfectly since I bought it, 2 weeks ago I formatted my PC and reinstalled windows 7(64 bit). On Friday I started having a problem that every time I opened skype my PC would blue screen. Firstly I thought it was skype, tried re-installing it a few times and every time I logged into Skype my PC still blue screened. I thought then it must be something to do with the audio input, so I tried another VOIP program and sure enough when I started a call my PC blue screened.
The sound then also started giving a loud static noise when plugged into the card, only works if I plug my speakers into my front panel now. I then uninstalled the drivers for the card and haven't had a crash since then.
So basically, would this be a hardware problem ? Or maybe just an updated Driver ? I never had the problem with the drivers I had installed before I formatted my PC. Hoping the card hasn't just given up already, It's not even a year old yet.
