My friend's aunt works at Eskom and she SMS's us directly when she gets updated on it.

Edit: More specifically, it's a Whatsapp group.

The "schedules" made available to the public are, unfortunately, often wrong, and therefore useless.

Power just came back on 10min ago, was off from 16:00. Both my tablet and phone had dead batteries as eskom only warned us 30min before the power outage would occur :/

If they are saying the loadshedding is because of that, they are full of shit.
Medupi at full load will deliver 794 odd MW (that is before auxiliary power is subtracted, so actual send out will be like 720MW). However, they are still optimising the unit, so currently it delivers about 200 MW, if even.
