Not Robin
I'm at Cosmic Comics for FCBD. If you're in the area, come say hi.
Yeah unfortunately I was unable to attend in cpt :-( My cuz really wanted to go too
I lasted 30mins in the mall, walking past the stall before I had to flee from the amount of people. Since I am not the comic book reader that everyone else is, I just went to show my face see what is what and bump into @Shadofox. They unfortunately need to change the venue now. From what I saw they can use a bigger space with better sound.
It was madness in Cape Town. There was queues for everything. And since I hate crowds, had little sleep, I just needed to get the frack out of there.
Hehehe I also got gatvol at one stage...but then again, I love comic books. I skipped the event last year because of exams, but I felt pretty terrible that I missed it. I stuck through it...and then rewarded myself with a cold Guinness and Jalapeno poppers at Thundergun afterwards. I saw Wenzdayz liked the FCBD status of Cosmic Comics and expected to see her pop in, but I didn't.
would have loved to pop in and was planning to but Unisa is trying its darndest to screw me over with exams stuff. i was supposed to write a sup for Constitutional law on 08/05/2014 but then on 24/04/15 i get a mail item which says i am no longer writing a sup but get to do an open book test which is due by 13/04/15... so after a very nice long rant of an e-mail to the lecturers i got an extension to hand the open book test in today... also i have a research subject that is also like an open book test which is due tomorrow. so this whole weekend i was busy with that...Hehehe I also got gatvol at one stage...but then again, I love comic books. So who is ready for the secret wars? i read they are killing over 33 story lines to start of secret wars but that it's not a permenant end to the ones they are killing of and those might be revisited at a later stage.
I'll def start following again from the start this time around![]()

Convergence is silly... There! I said.

Is it a new sort of "arc"? Havent heard to much about it, also read about them killing off the 33 comics but didnt really understand...
Awesome thanks man! So I could theoretically pick it up from here and start a new story without having to have read all the previous ones if im understanding correctly?
Jeez bro, just going through that Wiki, the Marvel universe is so huge, and there are so many tie ins to the Secret wars its actually seriously overwhelming... :wtf:
I like the idea/concept, but honestly? If it goes the way DC's Convergence is currently going, I might steer clear. These uber huge events always leave me fatigued when they get too ambitious for their own good.
SUPER MEGA REPLY POST TIME!
I could've told you that when it was announced...it's a filler arc while they move offices.
Marvel pull of big events WAAAAAY better than DC. Also, Hickman is behind all of this and he's pretty bad-ass.
True on both accounts. Marvel indeed seem to do large scale events much better than DC, if the brilliant Spider-Verse is anything to go by.
