True dat! I jammed on my PS3 and now PS4 primarily. It's def a lot nicer chilling on your couch and jamming, although I do get right up on it when I do post-lvl50 content as I then use a keyboard to type and, if I need to, rage :p
 
Hey guys, Huge Final Fantasy Fan here.

I wanted to know if this game was worth getting into for someone who doesn't have any local friends to play with.

I used to play ESO, but it was boring without my friends online and we played at different times - So I eventually dropped it.
Does FFXIV have enough charm to keep a primarily Solo-player playing?
I'm not averse to forming parties or anything, it's just that I've found waiting for hours on end to try to get a party to do a single dungeon just isn't worth the effort (unless FFXIV makes that easier somehow).

I can only commit to one MMO at a time, so I'd like something that can keep me coming back after the initial "Wow" wares off. I'm not really a fan of repetitive "Run Here" "Grab That" "Kill That" quests - It's the story and gameplay itself that drive me, Loot can only do so much.
 
<Grim Wolves> will be returning to FFXIV:ARR for Heavensward on Phoenix EU (apparently Moogle had become overrun with Frenchies and it was turning into an unpleasant experience). We started FFXIV:ARR at launch on Moogle EU. We had a decent sized FC, got to Turn 5, and bought a FC house, however, 1) the synching issues became a huge problem, and 2) most players couldn't afford two subs after we decided we'd be raiding in WildStar. With WildStar going F2P, and the synching issues having been addressed, most of us will be returning to FFXIV:ARR for Heavensward.

I have recreated the FC on Phoenix EU, and peeps have already begun resubbing/rerolling/world transferring. If you or your mates are without a guild on Phoenix, or would like to create an alt for social purposes, you're more than welcome to join us. Our goal is end game PvE as before, however, our focus will be on social levelling at launch, so all are welcome!

Any South African guilds on Moogle perhaps? used to be in Grimm, but meh don't have the money to transfer currently.
 
I am gonna tag [MENTION=8317]BlackSwan[/MENTION] - they are playing this and loving it. I used to play and I did love it, before the patch but I couldnt afford the subs in the end.

I am the one playing skyforge :P And I can honestly say I LOVE it. Even more than FFXIV. But they are already getting raid ready in FFXIV, if they are not already raiding. But in all honesty you can't go wrong with joining them in any mmo - the community is amazing
 
As someone who played and raided (40/25/10 Heroics) in wow since its release every, single, day with no break until I quit in 2012, and as someone who has tried almost every single MMO that I could get my hands on (yup, even the Korean ones), believe me when I say that it is very difficult to want to play anything else once you have played FFXIV. It satisfies cravings like a cold beer on a blistering hot day. Grim Wolves primary focus is FFXIV [MENTION=13408]Crableg[/MENTION], however, we are also playing Skyforge.

We are on Phoenix, which opens in the mornings and is usually full again towards the evenings, but it's worth waiting for an opening, as the guys who did are having a great time with us and we've been able to assist them. There is a post on our web page with a link to our FFXIV FC showing the names of people who can be whispered for an invite.

Awesome thanks, I have also mainly played WoW and tried most MMO's, nothing recaptures the awesome times I had WoW back in the days, so if FFXIV is really that good I think I'll join up! I'll have a look on your website, i did play with you guys in Wildstar for a bit.
