On every laptop it has taken me 40-50 mins to upgrade so not sure why yours is taking so long.

Still waiting for the windows 10 download to show on my last laptop.

hehe some of us went for clean install, good luck with the upgrading ...
10 is a nice number, 10 is a Tiger lol.

I did the ISO download and I'm now at "Upgrading Windows", where you can't do anything anymore. Just a circular progress bar and percentage indicator on screen where they prompt you to "sit back and relax". Been waiting now for more than an hour and at 60% currently... :/

Mines done. benefits of SSD, altho at one point during I think the 2nd restart it did seem to "freeze" for a few minutes.

Only thing it wanted to "install" during setup was my Razer Synapse, which also immediately now while typing this has informed me theres an update. Everything else seems here. w00t

Yeah, I'm up and running on my laptop. Gaming PC will go quicker with SSD. It took just over 2.5 hours from start to finish... The download was much faster than that!

Hmmm I tried installing from an ISO but get this: "Use the other installation disc that says 64-bit. When you insert it, Windows Setup will restart automatically."

So I thought I maybe downloaded the 32-bit version by accident but no, I still get it. And then I googled it and some other people get it too but I don't see an answer anywhere. Ugh.

Anyone have a clue what I must do? I tried burning it to an actual disc but it still gives me the same error.

Did you boot from it or ran setup.exe from windows?

I downloaded the x64 iso and ran the setup from windows

I ran the setup from Windows. Then I tried to boot but then it gave a different error that I unfortunately failed to capture.

Question: Which language ISO did you download? English US or UK?

I ran setup from windows with an x64 iso. it then restarted and gave me a similar error. but it told me to unmount the usb and start normally. and then it went fine from there after doing that.

I will try again this evening, thanks mottamort.

US.

Odd that you are getting an error still. And you downloaded the x64 iso as well?

Mine is up and running. All I did was change my region on my pc to US and it worked. Took forever to download but it is all working now. Looks really good.

I used my PC the first time this morning with the windows 10, I opened a game and it feels like my performance has lowered, i did download the new driver for windows 10 but its still not back to full. will try again on Monday since I'm away for the weekend, is anyone else experiencing it?

I also cannot seem to disable the "Enforce signature verification" (Or something like that), I go to the start up settings, make it restart and push the button it tells me to push to disable it but when i try use the program it still says that it's been blocked for my protection even though i am the admin of my PC:wtf:

Only issue I had was that my monitor went back to having a grey sheen to it. this is between drivers and monitor tho, not windows, easy fix once i force it not to use RGB but YyCcRr (or whatever its called) with the hdmi. that solves it. played a CS last night, all was well. Although my Razer (despite being "reinstalled" during 10 setup) keeps saying theres an update, then fails to download...thats my only issue.

Oh, and for the first steam bootup, it missed about half of my "favourites".

Weird that your razer was doing that. My synapse did an update after my installation and had no error. My steam was happy, HoTS working perfectly. I don't see myself using a lot of the stuff they added, but I am happy overall.

Yeah even downloading latest (1.18.xxxxx) from site and reinstalling it didnt change it. It only pops up on boot though, so I guess I can live with it until an actual new update comes along :p

I will be honest I normally ignore their updates for at least a month, since I normally get that error when I do it to quick
