5 open-world games that we can't wait to explore

I'm still very much on the fence about Fallout 4. Fallout 3 had an amazing world, but like most Bethesda RPGs it was dreadfully shallow. Fallout New Vegas had a bland world, but amazing gameplay and quests. I would have been over the moon had they announced that Bethesda was doing the world and Obsidian was doing the story and quests.

The only other thing I'm curious about on the list is Mad Max. It sounds like it could be awesome, but also, licensed games.

Looking forward to Just Cause 3 and Mad Max the most, then Fallout, im hoping Fallout isn't just another brown map, I'm sure the game won't disappoint though

Im still seriously contemplating the Mad Max pre order... Iv even got eBucks for it... I loved the new movie, and the game play looks really intriguing...

I am and always have been a very huge fan of Assassins Creed, I do however think they are taking it a bit too far now :/

I just hope just cause 3 has better shooting and that the story and voice acting is improved greatly. The last game was shocking in that regard.

The only reason why i might even think to upgrade my PC in the next <enter_time_frame_here> will be to be able to play Fallout 4 or Witcher 3

I feel like the open world genre is so over saturated at the moment. I never thought I'd wish for more AAA linear titles. I guess that's a side effect of adulting and having less time to explore the ever-expanding worlds of videogames. I am however looking forward to Just Cause and AC (although I won't be preordering this time around).

I am my own worst enemy when playing open world games. I tend to try and do everything and anything in the first area and then I get bored of the game before I get far/finish it :/

Id say assassins creed, just hoping its better than their last release... they need a pick me up after that buggy flop...

Possibly because No Man's Sky is likely to tank. Nothing I've seen of it thus far has me convinced that it will be anything other than an elaborate tech demo.

Spore 2, here we come.

Been playing a lot of Shadow of Mordor lately and before that some offline Red Dead Redemption. Amazing how the small details pull in you so much more than grand stories and set pieces. Anything that can match RDR for atmosphere and magnetism will get my money!
