The official Witcher 3 thread

Managed to craft my first full Witcher set last night - School of Griffin set. Way better stats than my previous stuff.

Round about what level are you? I have some patterns that require the griffin items as crafting mats, but I haven't found the griffin patterns themselves.

Level 11. Found the Griffin diagrams scattered over Velen, then had to go to two craftsmen in Oxenfurt. Took me a while as I needed some crafting material for all of it.

Hmmm, I'm also Level 11 at the moment and in Velen, haven't found them yet. I think I might have a quest for them though, but I can't remember. I'll check tonight. Thanks :)

After finding one of the 6, a quest log does open for it which you can use to track progress. I didn't bother but as I played I got more pieces along the way. When I hit 5/6 I thought why not and went for the last location. I see I also have quests for two other witcher sets.

I'm level 35, have not made a single set of Witcher Armor. I keep on picking up sweet stuff, so once I make armor, I get something better so quick after that that it's not worth spending time on making armor...

On level 16 now. My problem is finding an Armourer with a high skill level. The game hints at one in Velen but I haven't found him yet.

I think the lady armorer at Crow's Perch (the one standing with the dwarf armorer) can become one, but you have to get some special tools for her from Skellige. I haven't done that yet, so I'm not sure, but from the quest and conversation that is the idea I'm getting.

I did that, and she gave me armor that was worse than what I had already. But then after that she can craft you some wicked stuff.

I finished this game last night, was level 33 (not 35 as I thought above). I am sad it's over.... was hoping that the main story lasted a bit longer...

Oh well....

I'm in Skellige so I'll have to back track at some point after I find those tools I guess. Yikes!

Agreed.

When I find a notice board I quick grab everything. They stack quickly. Don't think I will reach all of them.

That werewolf man! I leveled up a bit then went back, waited till midnight then went into the cave. He was nowhere to be found!

What a pussy!

The tools are in Skellige, but don't worry you will be traveling between Skellige and the mainland a bit from this point on.

And about the side quests etc.... there's a reason they are called "side" quests :D I have done most Witcher contracts, have 2 or 3 left. And the secondaries I can't be too bothered about those...

I managed to finish that quest.

If not for using my Witcher Senses, I'd never have found that key.

finished the game now playing again to see all the different endings ...choosing different dialog this time, id say patch 1.08 and above is the best way to play the game!

i loved the bear and the wolf amour!!!:)

I just completed the quest where Triss gets tortured.

What the actual eff? That was pretty terrible to experience.

I tried to fight my way through, but it was too difficult, not even the delusion sign worked. I had to go through it the hard way :(
