Hehe...I don't know that much meself other than what I hear at work.

Think of your internet connection as a toll road.
Now imagine that in order to limit congestion, only certain number or types of car are permitted through the toll gate at any one time.

P2P and gaming are the 18 wheeler trucks which hog a fair amount of the road and slow down other traffic, so their usage of the metaphorical
toll road [your internet connection is governed by a rule which restricts
the amount of bandwidth that channel [the trucks trying to use the road
is able to use.]

I hope this makes some sense to you. I am not much good at explaining things
and this was the only example I could think of. :o
 
Haha I also have a feeling that I'm going to win the lottery today. I never play the lotto but I bought a ticket today. Surely one day I will have a feeling and it will be right. :D

As for the trial, it's been awesome so far. Downloaded some Steam games so far. It makes me so happy! :)
 
Been having some issues with my Web Africa account. Keeps dropping the connection. Anyone else experiencing this problem? It sucks as it doesn't appear you can pause Warhammer Online patches...meaning that if it bombs out in the middle of a 500Mb patch, I have to start it over again.

That sucks Lydon. On my side the only problem I've had so far is some images only loading halfway on websites. For instance the Xfire image in your post above this one is only halfway loaded. My Steam downloads are going smoothly though.
 
Downloads going smoothly for me, only problem ive had is that youtube videos sometimes dont load, the page loads yes not the video

ok seem to have a problem,

busy playing war3 atm and when i alt tab and browse internet it takes KAK LONG to initiate the connection to the websites server after that its fine
 
Been a lot more stable today. Still had some hiccups, but have managed to download fine. Warhammer also seems to be saving incomplete patches now, so woot :D
 
having problems loading some images in certain pages ie. images dont load. frequent disconnections from xbox live, but otherwise speed is very acceptable for something thats free :)
 
Minor issues with loosing connection now and then, but I guess that WA could be running various tests causing it. On the whole it's pretty damn good. I was downloading at 350kb/s and still managed to get 300ms ping in WoW, aswell as play a game of HoN without issues. \o/
