Caboose, I think I was standing in pretty much the same area as you when I was farming Aether - just on different channels.

I found the best way to farm nodes is to klap one, jump to a different channel & klap the next, then jump back to 1st channel. Rinse & repeat.

Nodes take 5mins+ to respawn, while channel hopping takes 3. Which leaves you just long enough to recharge your flight time.
 
I finally managed to get online last night...

My game password had expired :confused: and I was using my NCSoft master account to log in :o

https://secure.ncsoft.com -> Login -> Game accounts > *click Aion <username>* -> Change game password = Yay

How many professions can you have at once? I now have Weaponsmithing (still at 25), Handicrafting (47) and Tailoring (41)
 
Just tailoring on my sorceress at the moment, while my chanter is doing tailoring, armorsmithing and crafting.

I was forced to do armorsmithing, since for my first crafting quest I needed to create something I could only do at the armorsmith crafter. :/
 
Deceptor how are you finding the Gladiator class?

I'm getting frustrated with my ranger due to my 983ms latt - I'm sort of squishy and although I can kite, I end up teleporting back to the mob GW-style :(
 
I'm really enjoying the Gladiator so far, only died once and i'm lvl 13 :). I can usually take on 2 enemies the same level as me.

The Chanters are also ridiculously powerful ... mine died first time due to lag as well ... plus a surprise spawn next to me.

I usually try and draw whatever I'm fighting away from known spawn spots, but some evil-doer had tied a rubberband to one of my ankles :(

Other than that, I can usually take on anything 2 levels above me, and two critters my own level without too much trouble.
 
Well at least u havnt been mpk'd already :mad: running out of the mumu farmlands and i see a guy jump and glide over my head, all of a sudden i got like 10 mumu's on my ass :mad:

or death by the crop monster who pops up, just after i taken the crop i reversed and the thing that spawned killed the other guy busy with the outlook. i did feel sorry though. :o
 
Addressing Gold Spam

"While Executive Producer Lance Stites took time to address some of the most prominent issues raised in the Aion community last week, we want to specifically address another issue that is a top priority for the team here at NCsoft: in-game real money trading (RMT) advertisement, sometimes referred to as “gold spamming.” These activities are something we’re actively combating right now. They are also something you can help us with, and something that we are committed to addressing continually in the future.


We currently have Game Masters monitoring all our servers. They track chat channels closely and have been banning thousands of spammers every day. This form of active monitoring is a part of a much larger network of tools and sensors that we’re currently utilizing to help create a better game experience for the Aion community across the board.


If you’re experiencing chat spam, there is a way for you to address this immediately on your own and help us create a better gameplay experience for everyone. You can use the Block User feature. All you need to do is to right-click on a user’s name and choose to block that user. While this doesn’t eliminate the problem, it is one small step you can actively make to improve your game experience. Using Block User also helps us identify spammers much more quickly.


We are considering a number of methods to address this chat spam that have been implemented in previous games, as well exploring new technologies and what they may have to offer to improve your game experience. One upcoming feature for Aion will be an improved chat filter to help reduce the overall chat spam. This filter, along with new tracking and monitoring methods, is the first of many steps that we’ll be taking to help resolve the issue of gold spamming.


We appreciate all the feedback and ideas you have been giving us so far. We will continue to scour the communities out there for other ideas as we go. We absolutely recognize how important this is to you and a good game experience in Aion, and we reiterate that we are currently addressing it. Thank you for your patience and for all of your input."

Ok ... it's taken me the ENTIRE BLOODY NIGHT to up my Aether gathering skill from 41 to 80.

I was about to mention that this game's travel blows since it takes you forever to fly to the Impetusium to gain better aether vortexes - and when you die you res back at altgard/morheim....

... until I found out that I chose the correct class! My sorcerer gets a skill at lvl 22 called "Illusion gate" which is a portal back to Pandemonium :D ... cooldown 1 minute \o/

Suck it other classes :D

hmmmm i like the game :), lol had fun getting in at least 1 level in the short in between week-working night...
