Best South African indie games: as good as any other

I'm not convinced the SA indie community is comparable to the international one. Broforce aside I can't even think of another SA game to be honest.

The three big ones are named in the article. You know Broforce but then there's Desktop Dungeons which was an IndieCade finalist in 2011 and won the Excellence in Design award at IGF. It has sold almost 100 000 copies on Steam without being in a bundle. Not bad for a game going at $15. Then there's STASIS of which Rock Paper Shotgun has this to say: "The best adventure game I've played in years. STASIS punches so far above its weight that I almost can’t believe it exists." The music composer for the game is Mark Morgan. The guy who made the music for the first Fallout games, Planescape Torment and recently Wasteland 2. He offered to work on STASIS because he loved the look so much.

Those 3 games are not only comparable to international ones but are the cream of the crop. Commercially successful games (esp Desktop Dungeons) with critical acclaim and loved my many.
