Yes it is very much like gothic only better than 3 much better

The battles are a lil hard still can't seem to parry when they attack.

I've been playing for a few hours, so far it's pretty cool. But difficult, them monsters can really beat the crap outa you. ^_^ And I still don't have any armour. Anyone know where I can buy some armour??@?!?!faiofa

Hard sounds good. Gothic 2 was hard and it made it all the more endearing.
