Someone comes to you for an opinion, you give them your opinion, then you're criticized on your opinion... :/
Maybe in future they'll think twice before asking again. :)

Killed the most recent spammer.

Infuriatingly it came from a Telkom Mobile IP address.

Sent an e-mail to the SAIX abuse department, hopefully some action gets taken.

Hi all

Why is it whenever you're behind and have loads of work, 5 other clients decide to call you up with more urgent work?

Hi all

Why is it whenever you're behind and have loads of work, 5 other clients decide to call you up with more urgent work?

The one guy I worked with had the philosophy of giving work to the busy guy, "cause they'll find a way to get it done."

Hi All, long time since I have been on here.
I need some help, I am trying to change the decimal and thousand separator in order for Pastel to work again. They need to be full stops rather than comma's and every time I change it and apply it doesn't keep what I changed it to, (keeps reverting to what it was) and then pastel doesn't work.
The error that comes up is, the decimal/thousand separators for number and currency formats are not the same. Please change your windows settings.
Please could you help. TIA.

Have you changed it in the Region and Language settings in Control panel?

You will have to change your Region Settings in Windows. In Windows 10 click on the date on the bottom right and then click on Date and Time Settings. From there select Region & language and then click on Additional date, time & regional settings. From there click on Change date, time, or number formats.

You can change the separators there. Um there's probably a quicker way to get to there from the start menu but I just quickly checked.

Trying it in Control Panel and this is where it keeps going back to what it was whenever I try make the changes.

Under Currency, change the , to a .
Under Numbers, change the Decimal Symbol to a .

Or something like that. I don't actually use Pastel but that should work.

WOW printing companies are so extremely different. got 4 different quotes for printing the same thing charged as follows:

Company 1 = R1500 but printing will take 5 to 7 working days after you sign off on artwork
Company 2 = R1300 and can print in 2 days after you sign off on artwork
Company 3 = R1000 and printing will take 5 working days after you sign off on artwork
Company 4 =R500 and printing will take 3 working days after you sign off on artwork

i have dealt with company 1 and 2 before and was very happy with the service however im leaning quite a bit towards el cheapo company which has ensured me that my prints will be printed how i wanted and they do provide you with an actual proof print before they start with full on printing production...

yep I had to do that today again on one of our machines which was exporting things incorrectly from Syspro to Excel.

Good luck in doing ONLY that. When Windows 8 was released, Microsoft thought it good to change the decimal separator in ZA from a period to a comma. Imagine the anguish when debugging number-heavy software that all of a sudden started bugging for no apparent reason. Even changing the regional settings didn't fix the problem. When helped was opening up "regedit.exe", seaching for "sDecimal" and changing the values from a comma to a period. Pro tip: once you found and replaced your first instance, press F3 to find the next. Keep doing that until you replaced ALL instances of "sDecimal".
