Okay so my specs at the moment are:
i7 2600
8gb ddr1600
gtx 760 2gb
game is installed on a 240GB ssd.

I used to struggle with low framerates when getting close to a landable planetoid as well as when I get close to a planetary base. But after tweaking some settings I now rarely dip below 40 frames.

So I am quite sure I have one of the slowest systems here, and my graphics settings within Elite at the moment is all set to high. So it's not like I'm cheating by running the game on low settings.

It never stutters for me when I'm in hyperspace traveling between planets. It never goes below 60 anywhere except for on planets.

So, what are you doing wrong? :P

I'm running on High and rarely drop below 50fps. except when in supercruise of course

See, better specs than my system. Much better actually. In any case, perhaps an ssd will alleviate your issues?

have a SSD but BF4 is on there. and that would only remedy loading times. thing is supercruise starts out at 60fps and then gradually starts to drop. especially as I approach planets/moons/stars

What are your graphical settings? Sounds like it could be an issue with texture streaming.

I just remembered something. A while ago I bought a paintjob for the Clipper.

Actually it was this paintjob package:
paintjob_empiretrader_vibrantpack.png


Any way, there's only 3 packages available for the ship and the other one I was looking at was this one:
paintjob_empiretrader_tacticalpack.png


And this second one is the one I was seriously considering. Until, until I saw the white paintjob in it. A white paintjob for a white ship...

all it needs is a kone filter and a freeflow exhaust
