'Cause dishonesty is big around 'ere, eh?![]()
I wouldn't say that. It's not held back because of embargo from what I understand, just because of servers not being able to go live until release day.
I don't buy that excuse, they could have given early access to reviewers. I'll remain on the wait and see approach for now...
Since it’s impossible for us to populate the servers in a way that would adequately replicate playing The Division on launch day, reviewers will start playing the game along with everyone else when it’s released on March 8 – after the servers go live officially at 00:01AM Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT).
I think the reasoning is completely legit
Here's the thing, its not an MMO. It only takes 24 people to fill the DZ and you'll mostly be playing with a max of 4 people in the regular content.
well, it is kinda a MMO. And you have to remember if they gave reviewers early copies they MIGHT only run into another reviewer at some stage if they're lucky
That's fair enough, though we are both assuming the number of reviewers that would be available (too few or very many). Either way, without pre-release reviews I can't make a purchasing decision...
do you not trust our judgement?

.Refunds on Pre-Purchased Titles
When you pre-purchase a title on Steam (and have paid for the title in advance), you can request a refund at any time prior to release of that title. The standard 14-day/two-hour refund period also applies, starting on the game’s release date.
C'mon now! Game length and gameplay variety is only going to be a known quantity once you guys have a few days of play under your belts. I await your opinions then.![]()
ok but you might as well get it now cause after to morrow I'll be to busy living The Division to tell you how much more awesome it is![]()
I hope the servers will be able to handle the release day strain. I'd be pretty bummed if we have another Diablo 3 or SimCity on our hands.
Well they handled an open beta just fine, my money is on there's going to be a lot less people putting strain on it at release (unless all the open beta players pre-ordered the game).

Well, normally there's a lot more people on release than at open beta. It's normally the more hardcore enthusiasts who bother with the betas.
