Tbh I have only heard really really good things about you :D #truestory you took a man who was hating his job and coding again and brought back the passion and excitement so good ups on you with whatever you are doing ! look i wont lie I would love to be my own boss I just dont have the balls to take the risk :( although heres to hoping for a C level position one day :p

Heartwarming story. :) Thanks man (and however-I-am-supposed-to-mention Super_Dee). My aim in life is to make a difference, more so than money. Money helps, of course, but fulfilment comes from making a difference.

But yeah, I hope to see Europe one day. It really is my biggest dream and I've got an insane obsession with the Scandinavians.

Bhahahahaha. I guess Wyvern has brainwashed me, together with his man of steel avatar. :D

Edit: I missed your previous comment, so didn't see the correct name. :p Besides, I had a LONG month and still trying to recover from what felt like near-death.

Evening all. Finally the week comes to an end.

I see the topic of the day is moving and traveling. Well, in just over a month I'm attending a "talent day" of sorts for all us senior staff that are on succession. It's before the EXCO of the company. Apparently it's to ascertain our readiness for international assignment. The past few weeks I've been finning in many forms about my interest in to working for this company in one of their international offices. So far I've picked the south east Asia countries and African countries for possible placement. So I may be able to place one foot into that boat perhaps...

Reignite a passion they did for sure :D. I don't think FarligOpptreden will truly understand how much of change him and the rest of the {type}DEV crew made in my life in terms of rehabilitating me and my passion after working a soul devouring job prior to working with them :o

 I can attest to the change !

Apparently there are claw marks at the emigration at the airports of people not wanting to leave Sweden. That being said, I'm very jealous and saddened by not having ever been there, or outside Africa for that matter. :(

Svensk år skitbra!

My first intl trip ever too. But, Sweden is taking her security more seriously (the whole Syria refugee thing), since last year they have police on the border between Denmark and herself. I landed at Copenhagen airport and halfway from there to Sweden via taxi, we passed through a checkpoint...was it weird being stopped by two pretty white policewomen...I almost asked for a full body search.

My wife was in a car accident at around 2pm. She's alright. She's got a cut on her head and they had to shave some of her hair and she got lot of stitches. The car is most likely a write-off. A guy went over a red robot and hit her on the side. Luckily there were lots of people to help and lots of witnesses to the whole thing.

The poor thing is a bit teary eyed and her one eye is blood red. But she's alive and that's what counts.

It also shows how quickly everything can be over! Be safe out there people.

My friend, I'm really sorry to read that.

I'm glad she survived.

It's always some dick who wants to disobey the traffic light and potentially fuck another's life and theirs over.

I'm guessing she's still in shock -- I'd be.

Damn buddy, give her our good wishes.

I don't want to find myself in a similar situation. I'm really glad to hear she is okay :) /hugs all around

Hectic Soli, glad your wife wasn't too badly hurt albeit seriously shaken up. Take care.
