The Official "MyGaming" Anime Thread

Ahh okay, one anime series I didn't expect to enjoy, was Tonari no kaibutsu-kun. Mostly for its humour and because of Shizuku, I see similarities between myself and this character. Borderline apathy and such. I don't however have an uncanny obsession with studying though....that reminds, I have to study
I haven't seen that, I'll be sure to add it to my list. I've been downloading Baccano! and will be watching it throughout the week.

BAAA!(Just remembered I also have some studying to do) I've been putting off my studying for a week now, but I'm starting this evening for sure.

Lol, for realsies. I don't have that much anime lined up and I've cut down on gaming considerably, and there isn't much else I do apart from those 2 activities so I won't have any other option.

I have so many 'activities'. I only watch anime and game during my 'vacations'. Good luck with whatever it is you are studying :D

Bandai and Ufotable is bringing Tales of Zestria the X in July!

While I normally sit and choose what I will watch I end up picking up everything and then watching it much later. Unless it's Berserk, D.Gray-man and Dangan Ropa, I'm on top of that. I also may watch Handa-kun as weekly watch as Barakamon was an amazing show.

A little surpirse at the bottom with the OVA's and Movies, Kouta Hirano's Drifters is getting a OVA release and is planning to do a animated series later in the year.

It's a damn shame that D-Gray.man ended when it did. Plus the Manga is regularly on hiatus due the Mangaka's illness, She has Arthritis

The last chapter I read revealed who the Millenium Earl really is "whistling:

It has only been about 8 years, so waiting until July is not going to kill me.

So you have never read the manga from where the anime left off? Damn, I become far too impatient. Once I find out the manga is still ongoing I can't help but read it. That's what I did with D.Gray-man, Kenichi, Btooom and Shingeki no Kyojin. Wait a minute, when is it due to release, when in July?

I read the manga up to where it hit a hiatus and then I sort of got busy reading and watching other things. I tend to wait for everything to end before I read it.

There is no set date yet, but I am guessing with in the first 2 weeks of July. I will just keep an eye out on Nyaa and /r/anime.

Quite a few manga on hiatus due to the artist's ill health. I know Hunter x Hunter is regularly on hiatus for long periods of time.

D.Gray-man is one manga I've been meaning to read for a long time. I've also haven't had the chance to watch the anime, I did download it once along with many others but the external I had them saved in died on me. I've seen some of it's reviews and it looked good.

It's a standard battle shonen in it's essence but, the character progression and plot make it stand out from Naruto and Bleach. Sadly it did/does not get as much recognition as the others do.

I just remembered another anime I still have to watch & it's because of it that I ended up looking up D.Gray-man in the first place. Trigun, I'm sure you must've seen it or at least know of it.

I have seen parts of it but, I have yet to watch it. What I have seen, was fairly decent. It reminded me of Outlawstar and Gungrave in some ways.

Gungrave is another one that I had but didn't get to watch, I'm starting to remember a whole bunch of anime I've missed due to my crappy WD external, I lost 3TB worth of content that I've yet to recover

Gungrave as awesome. I really enjoyed it, it's slow start helps setup the fall the two character experience in the middle and the end of the series. Both characters played strong roles, they had just seen the world slightly different from one another.

I keep everything on multiple drives, but I am looking to get a 6TB or a 8TB as an archival drive. I was thinking of a home NAS with RAID 5 but if a unrecoverable error occurs on one of the other drives the data loss occurs across all. Looks like it's multiple Drives in a NAS with no RAID is the best option.

Hmmm... D.Gray-man... That anime keeps showing up in discussions. I might have to give it gander as I'm always cautious with shonen anime, but if it's more like Hunter x Hunter than the other shows, at least in tone if not story, then I might be pleasantly surprised:D .

If I had the cash I would also have a NAS setup of my own but for now it's watch and delete for me. It took me a while to get over my tendency to collect & keep certain files but I have had to adjust to survive. The way I see it, someday I'll be in a position to re-download all my beloved content and have enough capacity for it all, even if it'll just sit there.

I've come to notice that most shonen that aren't "main stream" but keep showing up on lists for top this and that are often worth a watch, you might even find yourself a new favourite :)
