what's an "MBP" ?

Macbook Pro. I recently acquired one for work purposes (Xcode, yoh) and I've grown quite fond of it. It's the 2012 model (brand new, Apple still sells them) and I upgraded it to 16GB RAM and replaced the spinning disk with an SSD. Battery life is great, performance is surprisingly good and it's nice and small to carry around, being a 13-incher.

So yeah, I've been scouting out Steam games with low requirements that work on Mac as well. To my surprise 136 of the 250 odd games in my Steam library were already compatible with Mac. Batman Arkham City ran at near-max at roughly 35fps on the little machine.

Took it easy with this Steam Sale:

Door Kickers
A Story About My Uncle
Resident Evil 6 Complete
Black Mesa
BioShock 2
Minerva's Den DLC

So it can be done.

Avoided spending any cash on this sale. Must say Valve did help me as there wasn't any real must have deals.

Card money did get me Victor Van, Divine Divinity and Beyond Divinity.

Just got one game in the sale: Jackbox Party Pack 2

Played it yesterday with some friends and the minigames are a lot of fun!

Have you tried the macbook with some more resource intensive games yet? Would be interesting to hear some results or your thoughts on its performance...

GMG is having a summer sale. Plus they have FLASH sales!

Survival Tips!
The Green Man Gaming Summer Sale is here! The toughest time of year for gamers, and one that requires you to be savvy and aware of the mechanics of a sale and how to get the most out of what’s going on. We’ve put together a handy survival guide just for that purpose!

Survival Tip Number 1 – Deals change every 48 hours. It’s important to be aware that our deals are going to change every 48 hours. Something you want might not be discounted now, but it very well could be when the deals change. It just might not fit the theme right now, which brings us on to our next tip…

Survival Tip Number 2 – Themes! Each 48 hour period of the sale will be themed, collecting games of a like into one section, for easy browsing!

Survival Tip Number 3 – There are two pages for each deal! Don’t see what you want on the first page? Go to the second! There could be something hidden there that you’d like to get!

Survival Tip Number 4 – Sales will last until July 30th! Check back each day so that you don’t miss anything!

Survival Tip Number 5 – Ensure that you’re signed in when shopping! We’ve just released our member’s only pricing, and you now need to be signed into the site to get the best deals available!

I just bought Middle-Earth Shadow of Mordor Game of the Year Edition for R12.25 on the steam app. Not sure how long it will last.
