All things Sport

8 players in the Starting XV played in the last test under Heyneke Meyer, I would have picked only 1 of those 8.

Looks like I was right in thinking that these players are not in form. And now it sounds like they are going to get another chance to make it right on Saturday. More of the same I guess

SA A just lost again. Another nail in the coffin of SA rugby.

Personally I don't think the SA A team MUST win...it's actually a good place to experiment with players and give new players a chance. It's different with test matches though. I'm going to the test match at Ellis Park later today but with only 2 changes that were injury forced I'm not sure that the outcome will be different to last week

Cool, I'll also be at the game. Maybe we will see each other not even know! :D May the Springbokke play exceptionally well and beat the Irish convincingly!

I went with an Irish victory on SuperBru...LOL! I have a media ticket so will be there where the TV cameras are above the tunnel

What an amazing feat Wade Van Niekerk managed to achieve last night. He is the fastest man to ever run the 400m!! Well done!!! It was tremendous to watch!!! I'm so happy for him. I was shouting the whole complex awake as he was coming into the home straight.

But, we must not forget about Luvo Manyonga, who scored a silver medal in the long jump at the Olympics. And to think only a few years ago he was a drug addict and nowhere near Olympic standard. Great story!!

Yass! :D

Been watching most of Wayde's races since last year. Some people are even accusing him of doping. One word....... "Grapefruit".

Is Caster Semenya racing the 17th?

I hope she will shut the mouths of all those salty pieces of seaweed.

Hells yes.

This has been an incredible Olympic Games so far, SO and I have really been enjoying the swimming, and the first few days of athletics has already been mindblowing. Did anyone watch the world record breaking women's 10k? Absolutely incredible.

Yes I saw that. It's been an amazing Olympics. So many really great performances from different athletes. It also seems like more countries got their first gold medals and first medals this year than ever before

The only Olympics I've watched so far was a bit of the sevens. Will have to watch the highlights of the 400m win!

You have to it was incredible. I've only not watched the badminton and modern heptathlon events, others I've seen almost everything from the Olympics. I love the Olympics!!

It feels like most of the swimming kept up a high standard as well, being close to record breaking pace in a lot of the events. I just feel like le Clos' dad most of the time. Like, with the first heat of women's 100m sprint, where a lady from Bangladesh (I think) ran in nearly a full burka, but managed to break her country record, I just keep telling my wife "it's just incredible. Incredible!"

I love the spirit of the Olympics, and that being able to compete at that level is a victory in it's own right.

Ooooh, but the women's heptathlon was awesome! Amazing high jump and javelin, with gold being contested in the final event, the 800 m run. Such a good event. I'm so looking forward to the men decathlon too.

She's from Saudi Arabia. Was an incredible site to behold. A true testament showing the way the Olympic Games brings together all people from all cultures and creeds, and regardless of your own convictions, we all can share and appreciate the splendor and amazement of athletic prowess.

Also, the stories from the IOC Team, the team of athletes participating under the Olympic banner and not a country, as they do not have a country (think Syrian refugees), are all amazing. These people have battled adversity we will never come close to comprehending, yet they are still able to compete at the biggest sporting event in the world
