It really looks like a shirt button

You wear weird shirts

I like the new logo, in spite of the similarities to PnP that was pointed out. I liked Ghosty McGhostface more, but I suppose it can't stay like that for ever..

Hahahahaha I have the perfect fix for anyone that doesn't like the new logo!

step 1: download an adblocker (ublock origin is good)
step 2: add mygaming.co.za to whitelist (support local!)
step 3: right click the logo and block element!

poof, its gone

Doesn't really resolve anything though =D The poll should first have been. Do you like the current logo or do you think change is needed. Not make a poll with examples that majority of people disliked and then still going ahead with it anyway. Instead of listening to the bulk of the currently active community. I feel there are many other areas where the time and effort could be spent

Except that [MENTION=289]Jan[/MENTION] did say that the decision had already been made to move on to new branding, since the previous branding does infringe on copyright.

I dont even mind that the problem i have if you read is dont give us 3 trash choices and say well you have to pick one... like i said i know so many people on this forum that could make a 10 times better one and would do it for free

Im sorry its the semiotics I was taught during my PR studies.

I have no issue with the updating of the logo, but yes when you do it, make sure that non gamers can look at it and see what they are supposed to see.

I would've done it for free... When I get some spare time to make a logo, I'll post it here IF the thread isn't locked due to haters hating on the new logo.

It won't be locked, but I will be deleting some posts. Folks are being a little unfair insinuating that we didn't listen to the community. We did what we could within the constraints we were given.

Looking forward to seeing your design - will definitely forward your suggestions to our designer.

Constraints? Multiple people said they would do it for free and some even did. Why not add those to the pole. Instead of taking 3 options chopped and changed from previous logos and articles used already as pointed out.
Don't think people are being unfair at all. The active community is what keeps any site and forum alive and I just feel that it could have been done much differently. As you can see from what people have said that do not know the site, that they can't read the new logo and that the tab looks like a button That must at least be seen as constructive criticism ?

Have you thought about the restraints being business driven, not design driven? Maybe due to MyGaming's growth the use of the ghost in the logo got copyright stricken and had to be changed? Maybe there are things going on in the background at the MyGaming head office that we are not open to. All we do is criticize. To change a logo is not an easy thing, and I'm sure that ideally they would've wanted more consultation with the community, but unfortunately sometimes due to business pressures that simply isn't an option. And well then you get along with what you have

Don't mind it being changed at all. But agree the 3 options were not very popular with the bulk of users.
People offered to help. So restraints are not really a factor at all.
Did you read what people said above when they showed the logo and site to colleagues that they thought the one controller in the letter as a shirts button? =D That is not very game like is it? And deleting posts is definitely not the way to go on any forum if it was not against rules or harmful towards anyone. That is just how I feel
