No Man's Sky

The more I play the more addicted I'm getting. And it makes me go to bed too late and then I end up zombie like. So in all fairness No Man's Sky is a secret ploy by the Illuminati to turn people into zombies.

^this. I have to force myself to put it down. Time just slips away while playing. I have to keep reminding myself to check the time regularly otherwise I won't sleep at all

similiar issue. its the god damned "bread crumb" trail. I set out for a specific waypoint, but keep getting sidetracked by all the other shiney cool stuff. before i know it, i'm kak far from my ship and treking back via another route, investigating stuff all the way.

yeah then if you're lucky you come across an outpost to summon your ship

Who plays it on PC here? A buddy of mine is unhapppy about the games stability. He has had frequent crashes, where he has lost a lot of progress before he could save the game.

I play on pc. I've been very lucky though. No crashes, getting 120+ constant fps and no bugs. I did report a bug but it was just me who misunderstood something.

I was scanning through the thread for the funny video that was mentioned, and I found this... Why the hatred towards Jim Sterling and Total Biscuit?

DGH appears to hate anyone who is pro-consumer and who says anything negative about his favourite corporations. (at least that's the vibe I've been getting the last couple of years).

I just never have like either of them. They are elitist, cynical, contrarians and for a fleeting moment I lost my cool and reverted to unnecessary name calling after trying to read Jim's review of NMS and trying to watch TB's video. Perhaps I was just a bit too much of a fanboy and too much of the typical internet personality that we all no and hate, but it happened. But, I still don't like them.

Ah. Ok, I get it.

I read Jim's review and I can't help but agree with him on many points. Not everything that bothers him about the game bothers me though. I say this as a person that bought the game and I am enjoying it in the way that I expected to. I haven't seen anything by Total Biscuit on NMS.

The CAD writer said it best in my opinion:
"No Man's Sky is not a very good video game. It is, however, a brilliant and enjoyable experience."

But that's just, like, my opinion, man.

Indeed it is. As some other have commented, it's a game that is almost impossible to put down. It is perfect for me in what I want out of a gaming experience.

Hahahahaha, no. Just no.

I concur. Add Yahtzee to that list. That lot can nitpick the F**k out of a game
