Borderlands PC co-op matchmaking

Is it? Tried searching but it only found you when I searched using "Etiko". I'm on linux and using the website, so the steam client probably has other options. Will add you after work. This day needs to move along now (and the unlock needs to happen sooner) :)
 
Is borderlands totally steam friendly?

In other words can you just join your friends games from steam etc.. or does steam just launch the game - and then it has it's own lobby system?

We'll find out at 9pm :) But seeing as most retail copies are only arriving later this week I figured we could start with Steam first till we know what lobby system it uses.

Update: Looks like it uses Gamespy lobbies/matchmaking, so I'll update the thread when I know more.

What character are you choosing? I'm keen on Mordecai because I'm shamefully fond of sniping, but it looks like everyone wants to be a hunter?
 
I'm going to be Brick. His punches are imba!! My brother kept pwning me this weekend in the 1v1 duels. I was Roland and he was Brick. He goes into bezerk mode and just punches the crap out of me. :(
