well im chilled now.... im waiting for the manager at the business call centre to call me back so that i can find out who it was that chased the Tech away and then if i find out the Telkom guy is lying I will go off like a trooper at him.... and then if they dont fire him im gonna threaten them with a law suit....

Its a bit stupid to chase the oke away if he had a job to do. He should also have phoned his supervisor and told him.

Yeh well i managed to get a hold of his supervisors number so I can get the real story and find out what the issue was...

if the telscum oke is lying then yeh i will skin him alive if its someone at my branch i will make sure they get fired and never return...
 
So my application to KPMG got turned down, quite literally, because I am white and male. That was their exact reason, if in a few more words. Honestly, this BEE bullshit makes me shake my head in despair. The people who are coming through the university system now are those who have had access to proper schooling (before the current government fucked the system up, even) and the opportunities most of us whiteys had during the apartheid years. Consequently, this BEE system is going from a method for economic redress to nothing more than a system of racial discrimination. It's exceptionally frustrating that no matter how hard I work, and how much I achieve, I am still passed over for the good jobs based solely on the colour of my skin and my gender.

Getting over this country VERY quickly, I must say.

Yeah dude its freaken madness man. I work in the IT industry. At my previous workplace I had to train the "previously disadvantaged". Some of them have NEVER touched a PC in their lives, no skills nothing, but they got Jobs 3 or 4 gradings up from my own :/

Dude that sux and i used to think that KPMG were a good company.... but clearly due to this racial government... they dont see both sides of the book... i have thought about moving over seas plenty times but... i just cant go and start a new life.... :rolleyes:

I would have made sure that those guys worked atleast 2years below me before they could even consider upgrading to a position above me....
