Well how much money have MS lost due to RROD?

I don't care if sony's profit margin is little on the PSN, it makes my stuff cheaper :D
 
Considering Sony is losing money on every console and Microsoft aren't, the RROD factor still won't account for near as much money as Sony is losing.

Microsoft's profits for Xbox Live are in the billions. In all of PSN's existence its only made I think it was $170 million.

well Ms admitted to the RROD problem and atleast attended to it ! the Money MS lost to rrod is nothing compared to what sony is losing just making their consoles, and they're still losing money on every single console sold (remember ms is making a profit on every console versus sony making a loss on every console ! When it comes to games we all know the 360 is selling more when it comes to Multiplatform titles and DLC ! Even with the RROD Fiasco the MS gaming division posted a profit last year and the year before, Sony's gaming division however stated recently "atleast we're not losing as much money as we did before on the ps3" The reality is they are still losing and thats why Sony corp decided last week to merge their gaming division with their pc division ! They are in major financial trouble afaik !

Both consoles have positives and negatives, but sony is definitly not crushing Microsoft
As far as I know Sony loses a huge amount of money on every single ps3 they produce. Im sorry but that's a fail. If a company wishes to get ahead of the rest they should maybe try and produce a console that makes them money!!!!

Microsoft managed to produce a cracking machine that actually made them money, yes its not always been reliable but that problem is slowely but surely being corrected!!

At the moment prices for both consoles are pretty high but there are rumors going around that the X360 will get a much needed price drop in the near future!!

Both consoles have their fair share of awsome titles, but unfortunatly for ps3..most of their much anticipated games are launching on xbox360 aswell..Tekken 6 ect. Tekken was supposed to be sony's main fighting title and now its come over to the awsome side aswell.

You don't see Gears of war 2 launching for Ps3!!
Oh and killzone 2 isn't worth a 5/5 or 10/10 or 90% rating.
It can't compete against Gears 2!!

Don't bother debating this with me as im the most stubborn person alive..Oh and I mite just end up putting a smile on your face

im not a PS3 fan either but hey mine was given to me so I play with it hey.... certainly wouldnt let it go to waste but yes ur right Joker.... if sony took some time to actually consider their losses then they would be making more money right now and producing goods that actually work well for everything :D

Why are you even comparing the 2?
Gears 2 is utter crap I just realised it after finshing it on insane.
The AI is utterly dumb and the story is complete crap.
The 1st was much better, also Gears is buggy as hell when I got to the end on the Brumak and had to shoot that crawleing thing (cant remember the name) the thing just wouldn't die it's like we were shooting rocks.

Im comparing the 2 titles because they are the current main stay titles on the 2 platforms!!

oh and as for you not being able to kill the "Crawling thing" maybe try aiming at it and then shooting;)

Gow2 has an excellent story, as for Kill zone 2..It has a flat fail story line!!

This thread isn't about the games though, its about sony "crushing microsoft"

Sony is about to anounce their biggest financial loss ever..Mmmmm me thinks Ps3 will never beat the X360!!

In the world we live in(financial turmoil)I'd call that a recipe for success.

Whereas Sony managed to produce a really awsome console at a mad price and they still manage to lose money on ever console..hahah..FAIL!!
