It's not the stang. It's his project car. The mechanic had to fix it, but by the sound of it, he just made it worst...

Edit: Also noticed that you don't like the swearing... ?

The mechanic had to fit a new cam belt ... cam snapped and everything got destroyed.

Cam belt = the belt that keeps everything in synch in the engine. I.e. letting the valves go up/down without hitting the pistons etc.

When the belt snaps, and you don't drive an opel, everything goes haywire and you get pistons hitting valves and all sorts of havoc.
 
Its not the mustang its my other toy.
I sent the car in for a full service..got the car back, drove it for about 6km.
Cambelt snapped,bent valves ect. The mechanic Agreed to fix it as he said it was his mistake. Got the car back today, drove it now for 9km. Sounds like the motor is about to explode, its misfiring like a b*tch and its making this insane high pitched noise when I start the car and switch it off...It sounds like presure that's built up that's escaping trough a small hole.

Project car = a car you set out to build yourself. Most guys who drive VW citi golfs turn them into their project cars. But every once in a while you get someone decent who builds up a classic from scratch.

- Surfer's marathon: 17km beach run across 2 rivers
- Dispatch cycle race: 50km race
- Nahoon mile: 1.6km river swim

The Triathlon on sunday = 750m swim, 20km cycle, 5km run

Look on the bright side, at least we score free t-shirts :D

Dude, I am a dude as well an know a little bit about cars. Had a failing cam belt myself on my VW and I know it not cheap to fix... :p

Have to say, even though it is an elantra, I would still choose it over the stang. :p
