Apparently the new Steam client has removed the download location selection option, worries me as to how it will affect downloading for free from WA, but I guess with Steamwatch it will still go ok.

Hello,

We will have a more formal "How To" guide available later this evening / early tomorrow.

Long story short however, you just set your reqion (in Steam) to "Africa" and start using it.

Web Africa IP addresses will automatically default to our server (instead of the other Africa server at I.S.) Should your download source change due to high load it will try the IS server next (should also be fast) and then overseas. Jumping over to an international source is highly unlikely, but in such a case would be a lot slower.

We have set up functionality which will still allow for your download to be FreeZone'd, even if the source should change.

At this stage I believe the default Steam settings will apply wrt how many threads per user will be allowed etc.

We will also be rolling out a secondary steam server in the next few months to act as a backup.

It is downloading some content that failed the validation, but it should have almost the entire catalog online now.

We will be opening the FW shortly so that you guys can connect and help us test before the official launch...We just ask that you report any funnies on here so we can have it 100% by tomorrow.

Aren't the WebAfrica accounts both SAIX and IS? I read somewhere that it can be changed when necessary ... I'll try find the link.
