StarCraft II SA pricing

What do you mean fine, thats actually really good :D
in comparison to many other games that only last 10-12 hours or possibly even less

Do we have an accurate launch date yet for it ?

Cant wait for this baby ! Was a big fan of the original Starcraft... pricing wise, I hope its not going to be another R600+ title since I allready bought God of War 3 this month and it was also R600 +

Gaming is becoming an very expensive hobby :-p

I wonder if this game will make it in time for WCG this year? Cuz definately looking forward into entering wcg. but yeah name_less, u just cant find it, u gotta be invited to it. Its like saying u wanna go to britney spears house party or something lol.

I donno nothing about the price but i can't wait to release the game. From what i've seen in the trailers it looks spectacular.

It will still be free however...

Stuff like VoIP and "Premium maps" will have to be paid for

Any word on the rumored monthly subscription fee for Battle.net?

There was no rumor, it was a few sites with over sensational headlines ( "Blizzard to monetize Battle.net" would be an example ) that people over reacted to without reading in full. Blizz have said they are considering providing services within Battle.net that you could pay to use eg. Name change, region change etc. as those services require someone to physically attend to the request, they cannot be completely automated as they can easily be abused. They have also said that the Battle.net service will always be free to use and you will always be able to play Starcraft II over Battle.net without paying extra fees.

Wow! Starcraft 2 is cheaper than Command and Conquer 4! And to think that SC2 will have offline mode for campaign while C&C:4 is an utter SP frustration. Talk about being ripped off.

Actually, a long those lines, there will be a map Marketplace. However, its the for players to create maps/mods/custom campaigns and sell them through an "official" ingame channel.

At a BlizzCon panel, Blizzard VP of Game Design Rob Pardo revealed that the new Battle.net will include a service called StarCraft II Marketplace. The marketplace will be a place to share and rate user-generated content such as maps and mods. Amateur builders will be able to release their creations as free or premium content.

"We want to make sure that the best amateur game designers out there are making maps for StarCraft II, and not for Kongregate or Steam or anything like that," said Pardo.

Kind of old news though.

They are preparing for the worst =/
As long as the expansions don't cost that much as well. Remember they also bringing that insane service called battle.net.

Caught my first glimpse of the game now on MyGaming and Caboose's zerg rush video. Must say I it brings back fond memories of SC1, so will have to see how long i hold out before i go and get it. :)

Gotta get thru Bioshock 1, GTA SA, GTA IV, BF: Bad Company 2 before I consider it. It could take me months before i cave on getting SC2 :p
