Xbox 360 VS PS3

Well back on topic:

Blu-Ray > Poopy 360 DVD drive!

Seriously, even games like FFXIII had to have its sound compressed and such to deal with the limitations of DVD. Now perhaps if Microsoft actually consider Blu-Ray, which I read they are NOT implicitly, things will be smoother. DVD is slowly becoming a limitation.

I only see that as a possibility in Microsoft's next console. I don't think Microsoft would make Xbox owners happy if they were to release yet another revision
of their console with a Blu-ray drive. I think that having a seperate optical drive as they did with HD-DVD is a clumsy solution.

Psyndrome:Amen brother!

Grimspoon: You might want to try getting your mitts on one of Logitech's Chillstream controllers for the PS3 then.

The X360 is the best thing that ever happend to gaming !!!

:cool:The X360 control was made for a FPS.
TRIGGER beats flap or whatever it is that repalced the L1 & L2 buttons

hahahahaha yeah right with all that RROD happening........ X360 probably destroyed potential gamers who gave up after xbox number 99 packed up

hahahaha

In fact when they release sales figures are those genuine sales or do they include replacement consoles in those figures ??

Both consoles are great as consoles but I rate PS3 has better exclusives than Xbox considering they have more space (BD) and processing power.
The fact of the matter is All Xbox exclusives could be ported to PS3 but without extra discs Hardly any PS3 exclusives could be ported
I mean just look at what has happened to FFXIII...

Remember to substantiate any claims of this nature you may make, the frivolous tone of this thread notwithstanding.

Fast: So....if I understand you correctly, you are saying that high capacity media and superior [by how much?] processing power
equates to a better game? How?

;)

is there a big difference with ffIII???

has anyone done a comparison?

for me...with an xbox360 and a huge library of games...i dont think i will also go the ps3 root ...enjoy the xbox and wait for the nxt gen of playstation which i dont think is far off...3 yrs time and the new ps3 will be looming on the horizon...and who knows perhaps by then the next xbox is already out with blue ray as std as it would be standard cheap technology

also...have a wii and with the xbox...all my gaming wishes are answered...

the wii has exclusives that u wont find on the other machines...
the conduit
house of the dead overkill
ghost squad etc

I can't believe there are still people who do not want to get a PS3. I mean with all the awesome exclusives out now, there has never been a better time to get one. There's Uncharted 1 & 2, Killzone 2, God of War III, Heavy Rain, Demon's Souls, etc. All of these games are must plays for any gamer. If you love to play games you have to play these games. If you don't play these games you are missing out on some of the best games of this generation, of all time even.

I would like to know how many Blu-ray moviez Playstation3 owners have. Since it appears to be a must have item.

Well I got myself a PS3 today for R2150, no games yet, so it's a BluRay player for the time being.

I'm keen to see how it differs from X360 in terms of performance, but even thought it's my first ever Playstation, I'm not overly stoked about the controller.

Can anyone recommend PS3 exclusives that I should give a try?
