ok, so i finsihed the main plot of Assassin's Creed on Saturday.
93/100!
The good stuff:
1. Fantastic plot. Great progression. Great end. 12 out of 10. I didint play the 1st one, but it made no real difference (... i read the wikipedia article)
2. Very enjoyable puzzles/challenges to solve/overcome
3. Side quests are diverse and very entertaining, and give the game a really good 'width' (...for lack of a better word) to it.
4. Graphics: Really really good. The look/feel doesn't steal the show, but give you nothing you could possibly complain about.
5. Great game setting (linked to point 1 and 4 above, and 5 below)
6. Leonardo! Nice one!
7. Ambient music is catchy.
Why it didn't get 100 (...as in my previous review, i'm gonna be overcritical, cos people pay serious money for these games and should be getting their full worth)
1. Money is too easy to come by, and not really something you need too much. If the developers could've made money to be more of a challenge to earn, and then required you to use it more, it would've just made it a BIT more immersive.
2. Asassination Quests aren't rewarding enough (...maybe they should put some special weapon or armour as a reward for completing the Assassinations or, if they heeded my call in point 1 above, they would've given me more reason to want to earn the money from the assasinations)
3. Villa management is a very nice idea, but way too easy. And it just creates bucketloads of money. Hmmm... starting to see the pattern here?
Overall, it's a fantastic game...
Great story.
Game has depth and width.
It's fun, and keeps you hooked.
and when you finish it you'll be very glad with the end, and you'll be foaming at the mouth in anticipation for the 3rd game in the series.
