Thread of PC Woes, Troubles, Problems, and Issues

Ok got this problem and its annoying the HELL OUTTA ME

Whenever going into any game even old ones and i Alt+tab to go into Vent or something and go back in the game, everytime i click a button (in game button not k/b) or press enter to chat it freezes for like 5 Secs and then continues, i have formatted TWICE now because of this. But funny enough if i kill explorer.exe and run the game from Task Manager its fine???

Any1?
 
btw old games i mean like StarCraft and WarCraft 3 :P and obviously done the whole Virus scan, malware adware etc etc
 
It won't be that hey.

Stupid question/suggestion. Try running any of the games in windowed mode. see what happens if you still ALT-TAB and get to your chat app, and go back to the game.
 
I've had SC/WC3 problems on modern processors. Try setting the affinity to one processor in task manager. Worth a shot.

Hehe, the be all and end all solution of a rubbish technician. Format is a last resort and techies that run to that route first need to go study their books again :D.

Funny that you would say that...
I have had experiences with users that simply throw the laptop / pc out of the window if they get upset with it or if something doesn't work the way they want it to. Yes, it drops a few storeys. :D
They are never sure how the laptop got so busted though...

They are very important people though, so the company just buy new ones...
 
sounds asif it might also be related to memory that is'nt cleared correctly, try increasing your virtual memory.
 
I'm having a problem with my mouse wheel. Sometimes when scrolling the page would sometimes shift up and down after releasing the wheel :confused:.
