Which online game has the best in-game spirit?!

I found that some local, small MMOs have a great community. RoseZA is an example, it's a local server, and the GMs aren't abusive, etc they really helped me out when I was a newbie there. Then the clan I joined had really experienced users who helped me so much when I was stuck with certain items, etc.

At times I also get frustrated and I use the chat for the occasional "BS" or "FFS" but I haven't really used the chat for abusing other players....

Is your IGN murph as well?

Yup! Played a few games with you SPA guys this weekend. Ironically, the vibe on MW2 this weekend was actually pretty cool.

I would have to say the TF2 community as well.
Strangely enough I had the worst time at TF2. Lots of sexism, racism and all that quite a few times I played. That said, it's still one of the more fun shooters I've ever played. Doesn't take itself very seriously.

Every community has its fair share of smack-talkers, racists, sexists, weirdo's...

Its like saying "WoW has too many tards..". That's because it has 11-million players worldwide, thus a larger amount of tards.
(1% of 1,000 is 10; 1% of 11million is 110,000; 110,000>1)

BF2 community was on the whole mature and helpful, but still had spawnrapers/stat-padders/tk'ers etc.
CoD4 wasn't that bad but had elitists and complainers.
TF2 had a whole lot of weirdo's.
BFBC2 is a combination of all of the above.

^ based on my experience.

cant really comment on the online shooters as i play them at lan's with friends
but i would say evony has great community if you are in a alliance.
I have seen some weird stuff in world chat but i tent to keep to alliance chat.

and dota i agree there always some1 moaning or say some like "i am over this"( what ever it means)

Well, after playing DotA a lot I can honestly tell you that even the CounterStrike community seems better than the local DotA community! So if you ever think a particular community is bad, just play a game of DotA and you'll seen realize how great the other communities are.

Oh yea for sure, the Local Dota Community are the biggest bunch of whining pissants I have ever had the misfortune of gaming with.

The local Day of Defeat community was by far the best I've ever experienced. Good mix of older, mature guys, and the younger energetic people. Real pity the game died out :(

As for current communities, TF2 is probably the best. BC2/CoD4/MW2/CSS/Dota all have a large proportion of asshats...

I have to agree with you on that. DOD was more like a bunch of friends coming together, than strangers playing a game.

Im a heavy BC2 player and i think the population as it stands has about 60% of just ass hats.. Most of these people cry about everything and then do it themselves. I find tho if you join a clan of people who are just in it for fun you will enjoy a game alot more

Hey Murph, I remember playing alongside you (saying "With" instead of Alongside sounded really bad :| ). I hate playing with anyone except my own clan mates on MW2, I cannot call myself a good player, hell, i'm just average and play for fun, but the number of times i've had insults hurled at me is ridiculous!

Prawn's Unite!

Turn your hax off :p

Dunno about the best, but I laughed my ass off last night on the WAGE hardcore Rush server BC2. Our clan okes one side defending on Atacama Desert. Of the two attackers, two utter knobs keep calling us hackers. Clan being the [SS] guys. Was hilarious. These two idiots, Mad_Dog2.8.7 and mad_dog5.3.2 or something like that kept crying hackers and that they have screenies and will report it to EA, blah blah blah. Then the swearing started.

Other than idiots like that, the BC2 community is pretty cool.

As for the abuse on MW2, it gets a bit much.

As for accusing someone of hacking, either prove it or shut the hell up. And proving it is not an easy task. Screenies alone are not always conclusive or even videos unfortunately. yes the obvious things are well, obvious, but subtle hacks are hard to prove. And I'm not entirely convinced that the anti-cheat systems are always very effective. I've never seen a player kicked/banned from either iGame or SGS servers, but on the WAGE servers, i see about 3-4 okes per evening get kicked. Granted most are smurf accounts judging by the names of the players, but there are some normal nicks that get skopped as well.
