StarCraft II most pirated game of the year

I can already see how this is going to end up forcing battle.net to be a "pay to play" service.

I HATE YOU FLIPPEN PIRATE GAMERS!

LOL! If it moves to "Pay 2 Play" it will have nothing to do with the eye patch wearing folks on the high interweb sea's. It will be Blizzard trying to milk the consumer.

I get piracy if you are a poor teenager or student but if you can afford the game just buy the damn thing. Games cost money to make and unless people buy them there won't be money to make sequels to the games you love.

I also find it amusing that the same people who complain about developers turning their backs on the PC as a game platform are the same people who copiously pirate PC games.

Derp, I are pirate.

I aaahhhrrrr Pirate. And I aaahhhrrrr proud! But some games like SC2 are just so great you have to thank the devs by buying the game.

Assassins Creed 2... Fantastic, Wonderfull, glorious game! But I sent a donation to Skidrow instead.

Only games I buy are games with online multiplayer aspects :)

Most games are honestly not worth the ink or plastic thy are printed/burned on :D

/me Salute teh ArrrrrH Matey's

Intellect property laws are dumb.

Sweet mother of Jesus do I hope that was irony.

They are dumb. They never used to be, but they became dumb. When those types of laws were 1st devised they were meant to stop people from taking credit for ideas that werent theres. Information and knowledge is meant to be shared freely, to help people better there lives with that knowledge. But if it's being kept under lock and key to greed and corruption with today's laws, I say screw them all and take it and give nothing back.

I subscribe to the idea that the DVD is property and that must traded farely for currency, the game that is burned on the DVD is not property, it is information, information has not cost.

Edit sounded silly:p

Intellect laws are really lame. Even the people who make the games, music and what not don't get a say on how much they will charge for it. Only he publishers and record labels can say how much they will charge it and even if the band or the developer wants it to be free(unless they are the publisher)the publisher will go no no.

I am Andrew Ryan, and I am here to ask you a question. Is a man not entitled to the sweat of his brow?

'No,' says the man in Washington, 'it belongs to the poor.'
'No,' says the man in the Vatican, 'it belongs to God.'
'No,' says the man in Moscow, 'it belongs to everyone.'

In this magical world in which you live. This land of unicorns and pixies and raindrops made of jellytots, do all these developers who want to work on games full time need money to eat at all? Or buy houses so their kids don't have to sleep in the rain?

Trust me. Full time developers want to be paid in money, not hugs and fuzzy warm feelings.

And my irony comment was you not even knowing how idiotic it was to call intellectual property laws "intellect property laws". What's the matter, too many syllables for you?

The sweat on his brow belongs to him. The ink from his pen belongs to everyone, the rich, poor, God, Satan, everyone.
