nice. i hope they fixed the mouse because it was way to sensitive (no ability to change it) and left me in annoying spinners at times.
 
Hmm I've never played FF game in my life, and it looks a bit weird. Especially those freaky child things
 
So, anyone find a place to get Collectors Editions? Deceptor, Necuno?

I am going to hit this game hard IF my 3G does not give me any trouble. WoW has been great so far, so I am hoping.
 
I was considering getting the game, well I will pass : seeing that it will have $ 12.99 monthly subscription ....FTL.

Just going to wait for Guild Wars 2....

Wow wtf ? YOU dont get it do you? WHY should I pay monthly subscriptions for a game, when CLEARLY IT IS POSSIBLE to run a MMORPG game WITHOUT subscriptions. Well, WOW (Blizzard) have brainwashed people, so I guess you could accept it like that.

I refuse to may for the privilege of playing a game I already bought!
It's not a question of living with your mother or not being able to afford it, it's simply I refuse to support GREEDY companies.
 
Technically you don't "buy" the game. You buy the license to play it. Hence you own the license for use, not the actual content itself. In the case of any subscription based game the license is subject to the EULA and general rules and regulations. Which in the case of subscription based MMO's would involve paying a monthly fee to play the game.

Most F2P MMO's are instance based (from what I can tell anyway) so there's no real monetary overhead involved for keeping a huge array of server clusters functional. Hence they don't have to charge the players a small fee to ensure there's enough funds available to keep everything running nicely. You think the servers maintain themselves?

Anyway, $12.99 per month is what ? R95.93 at today's exchange rate. An evening is more expensive.

I agree they can run without subs, but bar the titles that started out as pay-to-play titles and became free, most free-to-play MMO's, including Guild Wars, do NOT have the same dynamic array of content that pay-to-play titles have. Remember this is a generalization and by showing me the exceptions you will prove nothing. I have played many free MMO's and paid MMO's, and there is a HUGE difference.

Can it be done? Yeah it can. But really, paying so little for so much entertainment considering most other games offer like 10hrs for R300-600 (depending on platform) is TOTALLY worth it.

Anyways on topic, Yay for FFXIV!! (couldn't think of anything better to say :p )
