PC hardware and Gaming specials

Feel free to visit www.rebeltech.co.za , they're an awesome online company! They got some nice specials. i.e. seagate barracuda 7200.12 ST3500418AS , 500gb for R 353. I got my HAF X case there about 3 weeks ago for R 1750. Which was dirt cheap.

How I would love to be a rebeltech employee to get that special employee discount! :)

BUT unfortunately I'm not. Just another satisfied customer.

The closest I am to a rebeltech employee is that our offices are situated close to rebeltech's... haha

..any specials anyone knows about?

As far as I know Ghost, no.

Import duties (pretty much VAT) is payable on all items imported for use in SA. The only way to "skip" them is if you order for e.g through Take2s more UK section, then they include those charges as part of the items price and handle all the importing costs.

Correct. You are lucky to get away with just vat 14%. Some of the stuff like screens you have to pay customs duty 25% of the value and ad valorem of 7% of the value on aswell. Not very nice. There are ways around it. You could always buy it and have it sent to someone in the states that you know and then have them sent to you as a gift or you can misdeclare it but if they catch you there are big fines and penelties. Not really worth it. Just get some one to bring it for you if you know of someone is going.
