Last time I did it I just bought some acoustic foam from a music store, used some felt and added another layer of foam, did the same on the roof, carpeted the floor and used those weather strips on the door. You can also use egg boxes between the foam layers and you may have to add some bricks/concrete to thicken the wall. It's a mission dude.
Pros use all sorts of techniques but thats the one we were taught
