MoH is FAIL - proceed to operation "BEG for Dedicated Servers"?

Watch, COD4 is gonna be the new Counter Strike. In 5-10 years, 12 year old pimple faced kids will still playing it, oh and Mappie!

MW2 is fun and all, but I prefer the squad and team based play of Battlefield and the use of vehicles, tanks, planes, choppers etc

You have to remember and keep in mind that this game was supposed to be "better" than CoD: Black Ops and it turned out that it's nowhere near as good.

Quick question, have you played either of these games? And I'm not talking about the MoH beta, I mean the actual game. How can you say MoH is nowhere near as good as Black Ops if neither of them are out yet? And don't say because of MoH's reviews, because those are just opinions.

Why do you want an answer from me? Because you do realize that too will just be an opinion.

Yes, I do realise that will just be an opinion as well, but the point I'm trying to make is that you should play the games yourself first before raising an opinion about whether or not they suck.

BTW, I'm not getting MoH myself at this stage. Not because of mediocre reviews or anything, but because I played the beta and I also tried out the SP at rAge and I wasn't really so impressed that I have to get the game now.

Well, I'll be picking up my copy tomorrow. After installation I'll download the patch that more than likely will be coming (this is DICE and EA afterall) and then I'll start playing.
 
Will definitely buy MoH. Our Clan server is already up and running! :D

As for COD: BO, well, I'll play the SP for sure.
 
The only thing that really pisses me off about this game, is the spawn killing . I have been killed 4 times in a row on 1 map when spawning. That sucks!
 
Ja oom. Ek het dit gesien in die Beta, ongelukkig is ek een van hulle gewees. Op die klein map in die beta. staan ek op daai een toring en mik net buite die map. Die ouens bly daar spawn so ek hou net aan skiet en kry killstreaks.

Hulle moes iets daaromtrent gedoen het. en ek moes dit ook nie gedoen het nie :p
 
Well, after a weekend of MoH online, I personally don't see this game lasting more than 6 months to be honest. It could really be a winner if they managed to fix some issues though. The spawn points firstly are super kak. Nothing prevents the enemy from camping near or in the spawn points and wasting okes as they spawn. Or dropping mortar/rocket strikes there either. Extremely stupid.
Then the inconsistency op weapons. Sometimes you shoot a guy once or twice in the head and he drops. Next time you can almost empty a clip and nada. Extremely frustrating. Also, the sniper rifles, with the scoped M24 one shot one kill 90% of the time, with the red dot rifle at least two shots to drop someone. That makes no sense.
Then splash damage of rocket launchers, tubes and nades is ridiculously stupid. And I don't mean by overkill, I mean by being seriously underpowered. You pretty much have to hit someone point blank with them to score a kill. If you fired a a RPG into a small room in which a sniper is camping, all you should find is pieces, but no, he shrugs it off and kills you. I know they are trying to limit tubers, but this is bordering on why bother having the weapons then at all?
Another thing I find stupid is the lack of distance you get on a nade. I mean, you player is supposed to be a trained and fit soldier and he can barely throw a nade far enough to not hurt you???

Now there are all things which might and will probably be fixed by patches eventually, but how do these things get past beta testing? Public and internal testing? Is that not kinda the point of beta tests? I can't help but feel that this was rushed to get it out before COD: BO and they will worry about the bugs later.

i agree with everything you just said...the emptying out of a mag on someone and to not drop them is F....frustrating and what makes it worst is they turn around and drop you with one or two bullets.last night i shot a grenade in a room with probably 3 okes in it and not one died.... and to add to the FAIL list [or maybe its just my computer] but can you prone? and why isnt there a Hardcore mode and i mean Hardcore not "softcore with a spawn delay" oh and is there a FFA mode? or is this a strictly TDM game?if it is then Y???????????

Couldn't agree more. After playing the BETA for 30 minutes, you could tell the game needed work. Which was what they were supposed to do. Based on what gamers are saying, the full game plays and feels like the BETA.

Thats a pro move by EA|DICE. Release a game and patch it to death... But don't worry, given BC2's lifespan, they'll work on MOH for the next 6 months before concentrating development on BF3, which they'll rush to get out before ... er ... Duke Nukem Forever / Diablo III.

Sad to see that these guys are actually rushing to get releases out before other companies, instead of releasing a game so good, it steals audiences.
