Fallout: New Vegas official discussion thread

How hard is it to give us shades of grey?

Not that hard...

WAnt me to compile for you an epic mod list for the pc version as I did with my "maplassie's oblivion mod essentials"?

Just about changes the game completely

I was planning to do an article on this topic, and any MyGaming community member insight would be appreciated :)

I pre-ordered it. I spent 3 months playing Fallout 3 for hours every day when it was released. I can't wait.

Where is Friday? I want my damn game NOW!!!!

HAHA! A friend got his copy all sneaky-like from a friend at a PC store :p Alas he couldn't get me one, but at least I will know how it is since I trust his opinions 99% of the time.

Only thing to decide now - PC or PS3? While I like the idea PC modding, I seldom use them I have noticed. And stretching out in front of my TV on a couch is so much more relaxing. Oh! Lest I forget the issues that can crop up with PC's.

After Fallout 3 GOTY froze my console for the 376th time I decided never to play another Fallout game on my PS3 and get New Vegas on PC. Unfortunately, my PC is no longer capable of running games acceptably and therefore I had to go for PS3, but at least I'm getting the CE. I can't wait to get my hands on those cards. I have the day off Friday so I'm gonna go pick up my copy at 8:00 and play the whole day long. :D

Hmm Wlad, you are making me reconsider which platform I will pick it up on... Guess I can ask my buddy if he has any issues before then. He got in on PS3 and has been jamming it the whole day (but I have yet to hear from him which is a good sign usually).

I read somewhere that the game might lock up on both X360 and PS3, but apparently Bethesda are aware of the problem and a day one patch should be available. Don't know whether the PC version has any issues, but come to think of it parking off on the couch and taking my time with this game (which I intend to do) sounds much more appealing to me than sitting hunched in front of a PC.

I mentioned someone I know managed to get a PS3 copy before the official release. I just spoke to him and he mentions that it has crashed quite a few times, so you are warned. He says it is a good game (he is seldom impressed to be honest), but not as good as Fallout 3. He basically said Fallout: New Vegas is like a good Fallout 3 mod. So take what you want from that.

Me think I will get the PC version.

Not so amped for getting a game that crashes the whole time though... I have enough of that with Dead Rising 2 already.. ffs, this is beginning to sound like I should rather not get it..

Guys make sure to pick up the Running speed mod Default is 4 its up it to 6 since most people are complaining it is just too slow the running/walking.
