MWEB peering changes may effect local gaming
Gamers using MWEB ADSL should notice sever latency increases on various servers

Well, surely it would only really affect gamers using Mweb accounts? As most local servers are either iGame or Telkom (SAIX, SGS) servers, thus anyone on non Mweb infrastructure wouldn't be affected?
Well this is bad news. My Guild Wars ping is already terrible.![]()
iGame rely on vodacom, they will be affected.

Gamers on Mweb trying to play on iGame servers will be affected yes, but for anyone on IS, Webafrica, Telkom shouldn't have any issues surely?
Guild Wars is local?![]()
No but according to the article we will be routed via London. :/
International traffic won't behave any differently than it currently does. Its only traffic to content hosted within Telkom, MTN and Vodacom's networks (the fatcats that are overcharging for local peering and driving up bandwidth costs to line their pockets) that will be routed internationally instead of locally.

AFAIK, all international traffic is routed through London. The point is that thy are not changing their international speeds, just rerouting local taffic. I play LoL and PES and have not yet seen any degradation in the services.
