yup there's some bug on it. we have to completely delete steam and d/l it from scratch otherwise its going to keep wanting to d/l the next game we want to install instead of just installing from the disk and then just d/l the patch....

I had that issue with the Orange Box, wanted to DL the entire thing! Dunno how I fixed it though.

Just back up your games folder, uninstall and reinstall, that should work?

Nah, if my little one was a bit bigger I might, but it doesn't really appeal to me enough to justify the cost.

I was also having issues with my steam on Sat night, they seem fine now.
oh i see, id like to try it out. was looking at some of the games yesterday and some of them do look pretty cool.

Thats true with the little one being too small to really use it, it would be a waist.
Since Red gets motionsick from regular gaming this is something we can do together and its a shit load of fun with a few people. And its a real workout so i look at it that way.

So you enjoying Kinect then Omega? would you recommend it?

That depends Adamz. For a pure gamer I wouldn't, its going to be at least 6 months before we see a more traditional game on the Kinect. For casual players its better. The game, i have Kinect adventures (bundled with the hardware) and Kinect Sports, are seriously silly fun but to spend that amount of $$$ for casual gaming is a bit silly. Like the Wii however i was amazed at how much of a workout the sports games give you. I did alot of boxing and can really feel my arms had worked. Similarly the track and field, which has you running in place, works legs. I am doing a whole hardware review for Issue 3 of the Gamer and i am working on a 4 part feature to see if done daily for an hour or so, the kinect can help with weightloss/fitness.
