I pretty much agree with everything he says.

I'd say I agree with about 95% of what he said. DRM "checks" are still a waste of money and, believe it or not, are still considered DRM. DRM is bad, I don't care about the form it takes.
Aside from that, rock on![]()
Wow, honestly! After the argument (and yes it was one) about piracy in the Gothic 4 thread, and now you go and agree with 95% of this video (which was basically what I was saying initially) I wonder about your sanity >_<
Anyways. I am not looking for a fight, and if this does offend, then I am sorry, but really, the last time I ventured my views about piracy you got exceedingly agitated (myself included).

I don't think the video suggested otherwise. Any sane person would agree that the vast majority of DRM "solutions" are a stupid, stupid idea, not least because in almost all cases, it only inconveniences legitimate buyers (LOLIRONY).
But DRM also includes more subtle, and completely inoffensive applications, which seem to escape angry opinion when the topic comes up, simply because they work - Steam, for example, is basically a giant DRM system. So is Xbox LIVE - as far as I'm aware, it's almost impossible to pirate XBLA / XBLM content. And nobody's complaining about it.
