Star Wars: The Old Republic

Will probably have to, not a chance I'm playing the good side :P

From what I've heard apparently whichever side you pick (Republic/Empire) you still have your own alignment. So, for example, in a mission for the Empire you could be asked to assassinate someone but instead you'd let them go, ergo aligning you towards the light.

I like that aspect a lot and would definitely want to play as an Inquisitor to see it from that perspective :)

*cough* Jedi Consular over here :D

Although I have to agree with you, I see the entirety of Old Republic being swarmed by Jedi and Sith for the first while :p I mean really, who wants to play as a bounty hunter or smuggler?

The Force is not strong with this one :D!! Give in to your hate, let your anger fuel you! Come to the dark side of The Force (Plus we have cookies!)!!
Bro I'm gonna be hunting for you :D!!

Damn straight I mean honestly?! Light sabers vs blasters... no contest there! I just hope they do implement a limit on how many each side can have. I mean it would suck having 500,000 Sith and 10 Jedi! Haha I wouldn't blame though!!

force powers eh? eat tac nuke biatches!

oh wait wrong game... darn foiled again!

Well, bounty hunters are supposed to be tough enough to take out a Jedi, so I think many will have non-Jedi/Sith alts but in the long-run, I think everyone will be thrashing Force powers around :D

And pffff... Half the fun of being a Jedi is standing against overwhelming odds ;)

Fighting animations are a bit stiff, but suppose graphics aren't everything. Not going to judge a book by it's cover.

Is like saying you don't judge a comic by the quality of the artwork. Animations in a computer game is definitely not part of the "cover".

The best possible Star Wars game would have KOTOR I & II's storyline / gameplay / wardrobe / lightsaber construction / loot / questing, and Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy's fighting styles...

Never before or since the Jedi Knight games have I experienced such fluent fighting ... no health bar / armor came into play...if you missed a block or got unlucky, your face was chopped off.

The robes in KOTOR II were also very cool and made the game feel much more Jedi oriented than KOTOR I

Glad I'm not the only one that saw this...
I am rather displeased with the way combat looks atm. It almost looks turn-based, thats how slow and choppy it is right now.
I can only hope this is one of those things that are center stage for fixing/improvement.

It all sounds very nice, but I have been starting to unravel at the seams regarding this game.
I honestly think that with LucasArts handing over too much control to BioWare, it may actually flop.

I am a bit like the game in its current iteration is a bit lame ... a bit dull fight, but it still has some time to go...

I like the Codex thing!

Seems a lot of future potential could exist within that system.

You could, say, walk into an area:
Upon the Codex informing you of it's discovery, you can open the Codex to read some few doohickeys about the area and it's history. Attached to this reading material, is a quest or 2.
Maybe something like "The Codex describes this area as once being massively imbued with dark-side force. It seems this force has been completely drained - You should investigate!"

Obviously the example is rather naked, but you can see where I'm going with it.
Has the possibility to make class-specific, faction-specific, context sensitive content a LOT easier to deliver. Also maybe a little easier.

Anyone know what the PC specs on this KOTOR MMO? I think I may just get back into PC gaming for this one. I loved the first two games! (Thinking about Bastilla Shan - wonder if we'll ever see her character again?)
